The Odontoscope® is designed to be used by any member of the care staff in an institution – nurses, speech and language therapists, care assistants, care coordinators, etc. The system guides the user step by step via the dedicated app. Online training is included in the annual plan and the app acces plan.
No. A comprehensive online training is included in the annual plan and the app acces plan. It is accessible at any time, from any device, and can be completed by any member of the healthcare team authorised by the nursing home.
The Odontoscope® integrates naturally into existing care protocols. On a resident's admission, an initial examination is carried out to establish the reference file. A follow-up examination is then proposed annually – or at any other frequency depending on each resident's clinical needs.
There is no limit to the number of residents examined or the number of evaluations per resident. The annual plan gives access to the app for all residents in your facility.
The Odontoscope® app automatically generates – or generates on request – downloadable PDF reports, ready to be added to the resident's individual care record.
Coverage
Yes. As a medical app recognised by mHealthBelgium, partial or full reimbursement is available through most Belgian health insurance providers. Please check your provider's specific conditions.
Certification & data
mHealthBelgium is the official Belgian federal government platform that validates mobile health applications used in a medical context. Being listed on mHealthBelgium means the Odontoscope® app meets the strict data security, regulatory compliance and clinical quality criteria defined by the Belgian authorities.
Yes. The Odontoscope® is a Class I CE-certified medical device, registered on EUDAMED, the European database on medical devices. It has also been declared to the AFMPS (Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products) in Belgium and validated through a quality inspection.
The Odontoscope® app is compatible with iOS (Apple) and Android smartphones and tablets. Please ensure your device has a flash for best image quality.
Pricing & ordering
Existing clients can order directly through the Odontoscope® app via their dedicated account. For a first order, please contact our team via the contact form – we will create your account and support you through the setup process.
The Odontoscope® device is for individual use and is therefore reusable only for the same patient, like a toothbrush.
